Make a difference in your community
We need you!
Western Wake Farmers Market is a lean organization: we do a lot with just a few paid, part-time employees. Much of the work of the organization is done by volunteers. Our volunteers do everything from run the organization (our board of directors is an all-volunteer board), to working at the market on Saturdays, and everything in between. Volunteering at WWFM is a fun, fulfilling way to help your community. We know that many local schools have community service requirements for their students, and volunteering at WWFM is an excellent way to meet those obligations. And we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so many volunteers can deduct their mileage associated with their service, and some can even have their gift of time matched with cash by their employers (please consult your company’s Matching Gift program to see if yours qualifies)!
We even have volunteer opportunities you can do from home, like helping us market the organization to local communities, be a guest blogger to augment our web content, educate people about how to use local food, and more!
If you are interested in volunteering, see the Market Manager Haven at our Morrisville location, or send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
