A Note from Our Friends the Piedmont Picnic Project!
We've corrected the link to our Fermented Sodas Workshop below - it's not sold out (yet!), so reserve your spot today to learn all about kombucha, ginger bugs, and more! www.eventbrite.com/e/fermented-sodas-tickets-49052339869?aff=efbeventtix ________________________________________ We've got TWO great workshops coming up THIS week! Whether you're interested in gardening or fermentation (or both!), we've got you covered.
Check out our first Know Your Roots Workshop of the fall - Fall into Winter Gardening this Thursday, September 20 at 6 PM. We'll be taking our Raleigh City Farm series down the road to Pelagic Beer & Wine. That's right, you can order a beer to sip while you learn about gardening. We'll be covering what plants to start for fall in your veggie garden, how to start them, and how to keep harvesting through the winter. Learn fun local veggie history while you plant! We'll guide you through planting your own container garden to take home with you that night!
Or maybe you're more interested in learning how to ferment your own kombucha or ginger beer? Then our Saturday, September 22 workshop - Fermented Sodas at the Well Fed Community Garden is just for you! Learn all about different ways to ferment sodas and other tonic drinks as well local history around other health elixirs of days gone by. We'll send you home with your own kombucha starter (SCOBY) to get you started!
We hope to see you soon at one of these great classes!
PS - Piedmont Picnic will be participating in Beers from Here again on September 30! We'll be touring Triangle Land Conservancy's Walnut Hill Property with Trophy Brewing Co. Check it out here. www.facebook.com/events/299993334112266/ ________________________________________
