I am Chuck Russell, owner and operator of DNardys Cheesecakes. I was fortunate to grow up in the food industry. My passion for food began as a young child and was guided by the success of my Grandmother, Elsie D’Ignazio. She was the successful owner and operator of the Wayne Diner in Wayne, PA which she opened in 1955. As I spent time in her diner, I acquired a passion for food and developed my very own cheesecake recipe. I began my own business, making and selling cheesecakes to the local community, which was well received.
I later attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. The next 17 years were spent working my way thru the ranks up to Executive Chef at various Hotels, Country Clubs and higher-end Restaurants. In 1990, I was fortunate to open a deli/pizzeria in Cary which I operated for 10 years. Today, I am the owner and operator of the highly rated D’Nardys Caterers, which has been servicing the corporate market for over 25 years. My cheesecakes have always been a very popular menu item with my catering business and are now available to the community.
